Construction generators are essential for powering tools and machinery, enabling efficient and uninterrupted work on-site. Gasoline inverters for a trailer or a small tool string. Towable diesel from about 20 kW to 500 kW+ for construction, temp power while the utility is out, and events. Larger 750 kW–2 MW units when the job is real industrial — say so on the call; those are scheduled, not “on the lot this afternoon.”
Wrong voltage burns gear. Send the panel photo or the equipment nameplate. kW ≠ kVA — we size from running load plus start (motors). A 60 kW unit is not “60 kW of outlets.”
Public works and a lot of SoCal jobs want Tier 4 Final. SCAQMD / South Coast and other districts care how long a diesel sits and whether it is permitted. We will tell you if the unit on the ticket is T4F or if you need a different machine. Do not assume a 20-year-old towable clears a city job.
Camlocks, spiders, cable by the foot. We deliver and spot. A licensed electrician lands it on your gear unless the contract says we make up. We are not the house electrician for a 200A service upgrade.
Diesel on the unit. Auxiliary tanks 100–2300 gal when the job runs nights. Fueling can be scheduled. You do not want to discover Sunday that the 56 kW has an 8-hour tank.
California construction rental. Orange County / inland SoCal is the normal run. NorCal or a mountain site is a quote, not a website rate.
Different product. This page is a towable or skid for a site or an outage trailer. A pad-mounted Generac is an electrical contractor + gas permit. We can talk portable backup; we will not pretend a 20 kW diesel in the driveway is a quiet whole-house unit.
Fridge, furnace blower, a few lights: small inverter or ~20 kW if you want 240V well/pump. Whole HVAC on one towable: calc first. HOA and neighbors will hear a diesel.
Trailer + saws + compressor: 20–36 kW is common. Crane, welder, 3-phase tools: 60 kW and up, and tell us 208 or 480.
Yes, unless you said otherwise. Runtime is on the spec sheet — ask before you leave the yard.
Ask. Cable length is not infinite. Measure the run from the trailer to the panel.
Event-quiet and construction-loud are different machines. Film/event units cost more. Say “event” on the call.
Yard units: often next day. 300 kW+ or T4F on a spec: schedule it.
You, if fueling is your job. Schedule fuel if the job runs past the tank.
Air-district and city rules vary. We can tell you what the unit is certified as. Encroachment and noise are the site’s problem unless we contracted that.
